BIOGRAPHY


Adolfo Del Cont was born in Aviano (Pn) in 1968. He studied accordion from the age of seven with S. Cortella and later with B. Flocco.
He then attended numerous ADVANCED COURSES with prestigious teachers in Italy, Serbia, France, Russia and the USA.
He graduated in accordion and piano with full marks and honors in the State Conservatories.
He has held numerous CONCERTS throughout Europe, Russia and the USA in important international concert seasons, in various chamber ensembles, with symphony orchestras and above all as a soloist, presenting a vast repertoire ranging from the Baroque to contemporary compositions for accordion, also dedicated to him ( Friends of Music, AGIMUS, Muzicka Omladina of Kragujevac - Serbia, The Music Center of Detroit - USA, Geilo Festival - Norway and Niznij Novgorod - Russia, Carniarmonie, "Summer on the Riviera" - Croatia etc..).
He has TRANSCRIBED for classical accordion works by important composers, published by the Berben editions of Ancona, and has distinguished himself in important INT COMPETITIONS. for accordion concert players, among which: FIRST PRIZE in 1988 in Camalò (Tv) and at the Grand Prix "Lacroix" (S. Etienne - France), in 1990 in Los Angeles (USA) and in 1992 at the Int. Music Tournament (T.I.M.) - Rome.
Second prize in 1987 at the Castelfidardo Prize (An) and in 1988 at the CMA World Trophy. in France. Finalist in Klingenthal, Germany, 1989.
He is regularly invited, as a JUROR, to international competitions and to hold Masterclasses.
He has made various RECORDS, including the CD "Classic Accordion"-bayan solo, with important compositions from the Baroque period to the contemporary accordion repertoire, also presented on RAI Radio Tre.
Many of his students have won international competitions and graduated from state conservatories.
He holds the accordion chair at the "J. Tomadini" State Conservatory of Music in Udine.
